First impression: What a boring layout!

Layout: The process probably took about 10 seconds: find picture, paste on some random pattern, erase edges of the picture, slap on site’s name, add light layer for navigation, and code! Wow, a monkey can do that too. Where’s the effort? Where’s the creativity? The edges are not even erased well enough. You can still see the edge. The space between the content and navigation is too close together, which makes it very distracting. The colors are such a mess. The yellow does not fit at all, especially for the text. It is too bright! You can barely read it. The hover links color hurts too. This whole layout makes me want to cry.

First Impression: The right side of the layout is all white compared to the huge blue layout. Was that intentional? God, I hope not.

Layout: I am still questioning the design of the layout. I cannot comprehend how anyone would want that huge white background that does not match with anything. If I was able to stop looking at the blank white side, I would say the layout is okay – simple, if anything. The red and blue do not seem to blend into each other nicely. It is just there. In fact, no where else on your site do you use that red. Kind of distracting, don’t you think? There is no footer, which makes the bottom of the layout very plain. If you were going to put a border on the top, left, and right side of the layout, you might as well finish it all around. Aside from the header, the colors and design of the content are boring. The header images for your titles do not work on Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Your layout is only fully compatible with Internet Explorer. How sad.

Review 002: Dazzling Designs

First Impression: I have to admit I really liked the layout when I stumbled upon Dazzling Designs. Then, I took a second look and saw the multiple flaws in it. My first impression on your navigation was, “center links are so ugly.”

Layout: I found the layout overall to be nice. First, we will deal with the top of the layout. On the far left, you have random splatter brushes that make no sense to the overall layout look. The whole layout shows fire and field. Why add useless splatter brushes?

Are They Really Typos?

Lately, I have been browsing the Anime Web Community and noticed a particular lack of intelligence in many of our fellow “web designers”. Sadly, I come to wonder what has come to this world.

Sure, they could be admitted as spelling typos, but are they really? Can one person really be so stupid to misspell a word that can be easily spell-checked or looked up on a dictionary? Does anyone proofread what they post online?

The sites I point out are small, but it is still hilarious to look at. Or maybe I am the only one who finds it funny? Oh, me and my crude humor.

First Impression: That is one bright ass layout. White and pink is definitely not a good combination to use, especially since the pink you are using is light. My eyes are just hurting from looking at your site.

Layout: I admit that the girl is cute. But, could there be any more color to the layout? (That was sarcasm if you did not catch it) You only used about two colors of pink and white.

Introduction

Hello. I thought I would introduce myself to the world. I am Kyle Fleur. I am a web designer. I started this site on December 3rd, 2008 as a way to express my thoughts on web graphics sites (mostly Anime/Manga/Game ones).

This site is not meant to hurt the owners. I am just expressing myself through reviews whether the owners like it or not.

Though I am constantly busy, I will try my best to post up reviews as much and as soon as possible, whenever that may be. I hope creating this site will help the owners and myself. I am really not much of an a**hole.
